The University of Warsaw, Poland, through its Faculty of Law and Administration organised a conference entitled “50 Years of the Convention on International Liability for Damage Caused by Space Objects: Assessment and Outlook”. The event took place in a hybrid mode at the occasion of the ceremony of transferring the presidency of the Manfred Lachs Center for Space Law on 9 December 2022. Presenters included members of Polish academia, the Ministry of Development and Technology, the Polish Space Agency, the Polish Parliament, law firms, and international experts from the United Nations and academia as well as the IISL.
IISL President Kai-Uwe Schrogl, IISL President Emerita Tanja Masson-Zwaan, and IISL members Steven Freeland and Georgios (George) D. Kyriakopoulos took part and presented on topics related to the Liability Convention. Please see the programme and presentation slides below.
