IISL President Kai-Uwe Schrogl participated in a workshop on “National Space Legislation: Why, When and For Whom?”, organised by the University of Luxembourg on 16 September 2021.
He gave a presentation entitled “Reasons for adopting space legislation” during the First Panel which focussed on a European framework of space activities. With the aim of an international harmonisation of space activities, he analysed the current legislative situation in Europe and formulated options for the way forward including concrete potential action items to be undertaken, such as using the recent and on-going efforts on the European level regarding position-building for Space Traffic Management (STM) as a reference.
