IISL/ECSL Annual Symposium on Space Law

IISL/ECSL Annual Symposium on Space Law

Every year on the occasion of the Legal Subcommittee (LSC) of the UN COPUOS, IISL and ECSL organise a annual Joint Symposium on Space Law for delegates, permanent observers and attendees. The IISL/ECSL Joint Symposium traditionally took place in the afternoon of the first day of the respective session of the Legal Subcommittee. Along with the cancellation of the LSC session in 2020, the Symposium was cancelled for that year. Due to shortening of the session and interpretation constraints, the time slot of the Symposium had to be moved in the last years. The Symposium gathers prominent scholars and practitioners to discuss a topical theme of space law. See below for an overview of the topics of the most recent years of the IISL/ECSL Symposium.
