The IISL every year starts its Colloquium at the International Astronautical Congress with the Nandasiri Jasentuliyana Keynote Lecture as the opening of the first session: the Young Scholars Session. The Nandasiri Jasentuliyana Keynote Lectures have been introduced in 2009. The invitation to hold this lecture is extended to renowned specialists in the field of international space law and constitutes a highlight of the annual IISL Colloquium session.
