This year’s IISL/ECSL Annual Symposium on Space Law at LSC will be held on Tuesday, 14 April 2026 from 15:00 – 18:00 h CEST at the Vienna International Centre (VIC), Austria – one day ahead of the start of this year’s LSC session (this year, 15-22 April 2026). The topic of this year’s symposium is: Legal approaches for a safe space environment.

Voluntary inofficial translation of Speakers’ Points

As this year’s Symposium, due to budgetary contraints at the Committee, is held on the margins of the UN COPUOS Legal Subcommittee – and therefore will take place without simultaneous translation – IISL and ECSL are offering an inofficial translation of the main points of the Symposium speakers in the six official languages of the United Nations. The paper aims to add to delegations’ benefit from the Symposium and their deliberations on a legal regulation of a safe space environment.
