The 2025 IISL Board Elections season has currently undergoing and the votes of our members are currently being received.

The IISL Election Committee invites all IISL individual and institutional members in good standing to take part in the 2025 IISL Board Elections.

Positions available:

  • President (1 position)
  • Directors (4 positions)

The directors with expiring terms are Scarlet O’Donnell, Martha Mejia-Kaiser, Peter Martinez, and Helen Tung.

Procedure and nomination period

Candidates were nominated by an IISL Member in good standing and supported by five IISL Members in good standing, and confirmed their agreement with being nominated. For further details please refer to the full terms of the IISL Statutes and By-Laws, available at https://iisl.space/index.php/statutes-and-bylaws/.

Voting period and voting procedure

In accordance with the IISL Statutes and By-Laws the Election Committee is authorized to draw up the list of qualifying candidates, supervise the election process, and count the votes. Voting takes place between June 15 and July 15, 2025. Please note that there is only one vote per institutional member, and the IISL Election Committee must be notified as soon as possible (and definitely prior to voting) as to who is the designated Point of Contact (POC). Notification can be done by email to elections@iisl.space

Voting this year takes place via our newly (re)launched members platform. IISL members have received email communication informing them about the voting procedure.

Important Reminders:

  1. All members, including nominators and supporters, must cast their vote. Participation in the nomination process does not constitute a vote.
  2. Registration with newly relaunched IISL Membership Platform Required. All members have to register on the new membership platform before voting (even if you previously held login credentials, as the platform has been reinitialised). The platform is available at: https://members.iisl.space
    Registration is approved manually and may take several hours, so we encourage early action.
  3. Eligibility: Only individual and institutional members in good standing are eligible to vote. If you are unsure of your current membership status, please contact the IISL Treasurer at treasurer@iisl.space.
  4. Voting Deadline: Voting will close on 15 July 2025 at 23:59 CET. Votes submitted after this time will not be counted.
